Tweedy, Brian Cooper
Father of Molly Bloom. Born c. 1833, probably in Dublin. Enlisted in the army and rose through the ranks to obtain a commission with the Royal Dublin Fusiliers. Retired in 1885 or 1886 while serving in Gibraltar and then moved to Dublin with his daughter. Tweedy likely died in 1893, shortly before the Blooms "were on the rocks in Holles Street" [U (Gabler) 13:840-41].
